Kenny Treseder

Kenny Treseder

Composer

Kenny Treseder is a musician, composer, arranger, and writer.

By age eighteen Kenny had performed in Europe at the Montreux (Switz.) and North Sea (Holland) jazz festivals. At nineteen, he was commissioned by the Monterey Jazz Festival to compose and arrange works for the premier at the 26th and 27th annual festivals.

As a musician, Kenny has played live performances at The Jazz Bakery, on FM88 KLON, and on TV’s, “Seinfeld” and “The Nanny.” He has performed with jazz greats, Louis Belson and Jack Sheldon, and pop oldies legends, Del Shannon, Fabian, and Little Anthony, et al.

Kenny’s musical versatility is clear. On saxophone, Kenny performs live jazz at Disneyland’s “New Orleans Square”. He can be heard on piano and as a composer with the Edmund Velasco Quintet. L.A. Jazz Scene wrote “…his [Ken’s] accompaniment introduces harmonic depth, while his piano solos stand out for their footloose creativity” (April 2001.)

Kenny’s compositions can also be heard with his own band–“The Big Shots starring Tony Fabulous.” The groups CD, “None of Your Business” (1998, Right Hook Records) features many of his original songs. His vocal on “Up Off The Canvas” was featured in the soundtrack of the Sterling Pictures release “Baggage,” screened at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival.

As a comedy talent, Kenny studied comedy improv at Second City/LA, and wrote material for Jay Leno while under contract with Big Dog Productions.
